Persepolis, a magic place, was the capital of the Achaeminid Empire. This place was founded par Darius the first and destroyed by Alexander the Great.The Achaeminid Empire was really great and important : it covers Iran, Irak, Turkey, Armenia, Macedonia (FYROM), a part of Syria,Israël and Egypt. In the North : Afghanistan, le Turkmenistan andUzbekistan... 24 differents nationality.
Persepolis (after the Greek name, in Persian, the word Parsa is used ) was built Pasargades to impress people.
It's a fascinating place, especially for photographers !
