Shiraz... the town of poets.Shiraz is synonym of gardens, poetry, roses and wine !! (the wine Syrah came from here). The town was the capital of Iran during32 years under the Zend dynasty (1747-1779).
The town was not invaded by Mongol army.
Two importants Persian poets lived here : Saadi (13th century) and Hâfez (14th century).
