Bosra is, with Palmyra, the Syrian site which have the most Roman ruins. Among them, the theatre (the best preserved of the Roman world), transformed into a citadel by Ayyubid. Today, you may find an archeological museum and a... youth hostel.

There are a lot of buildings in ruins in the old town, for example : the Roman market.

In the old town, you will be able to see the basilica of Bahira. This man was a nestorian monk who met Mahommed. He was member, with his uncle, of a caravan between Mecqua and Damascus. After a long discussion, Bahira predicted to Mahommed a great carrier as prophet.
