The Marqab castle is enormous and very impressive. He was built with black stone coming from an old volcano. He was built by the Arabs in 1062 who lost his control few years later.
The Hospitaliers will tranform Marqab in one of the most powerful stronghold of the region. Some technique used here will be used only 100 years later in France.
It's my favorite castle.
