Oficina Salitrera Humberstone
Humberstone was a flourishing mining town, and had all the modern confort : a theatre, an olympic swimming pool... Nitrate was the main product of the region. In 1940, quite 3.700 peoples were living there. The town was closed in the sixites. There is a weird atmosphere in this place, a mix of western and Mad-Max. I always enjoyed industrial architecture, so I enjoyed this place and Santa Laura. Maybe, this place will be on the list of World Heritage of UNESCO.
If you want to go there, take care, this is a dangerous place.
