Rapa Nui, the Easter Island, a mythical name associated to the mysterious moais, this huge stone statue. Entire library are written about this weird island, the most isolated place of the world.
It's now sure that Pascuans are coming from Polynesia. They lost a war and had to find another place for living. The Moais were a symbol of power for the different tribes living on the island.
I had no precise idea about Rapa Nui, I never saw the movie produced K. Costner. Here are some general views :
